New Proceedings Access

All FSHS proceedings back to 1950 have been digitized, but we are still missing 30 volumes listed below dating back to 1892. Help us preserve these treasures: if you have one of the below volumes, please consider donating it to the society. All except the most current three volumes are available to everyone (even non-FSHS members).
Contact Mark Ritenour at ritenour@ufl.edu about donating your proceedings.

Publication Resources

New way to submit your manuscripts for the 2007 Proceedings!

Authors, please e-mail electronic versions of your manuscript (e.g., as MS Word files) to: fshsproc@ashs.org

FSHS requires that author graphics NOT be embedded within the manuscript document. Graphics (figures, pictures, etc.) must be sent as separate files (TIF, EPS, JPG, or PDF) from the manuscript. Label the manuscript and graphics files with the corresponding author's last name, and include the figure number for graphics files. Unlike graphics, tables should be embedded within the manuscript file; submitted as text and not as graphic images. Include contact information for each author (including e-mail address and phone number), so that page proofs can be e-mailed for author corrections.

Notice on the way page charges are handled
February 27, 2006 - There have been changes in the way FSHS will handle and publish the Proceedings from the 2005 issue forward. These changes will result in significant savings to authors seeking to publish their work in the Proceedings, and encourage publication by members who participate in and service Florida’s great horticultural industries.
  1. Page charges for authors from the research community will be $60/page.

  2. Extension agents, growers and other industry members can publish up to 3 pages free of charge. Each page published over this limit will be assessed a $60 fee.

  3. FSHS will send the invoice for page charges directly to senior authors.

  4. Senior authors will receive galley proofs via email only. Changes to galley proofs should be kept at a minimum. We think you should know that FSHS is charged $1.25 for each text change made to a galley proof.

  5. Members will receive a CD containing the Proceedings. Members will also have access to archived Proceedings on the FSHS website.
